KRONOTYPE Ferrari Challenge Chronograph MDQS-2 Challenge Limited Edition 1/36 Carbon Fiber FULL SET

For sale we have a very rare and never seen on the market KRONOTYPE reference MDQS-Challenge, which is a limited edition series of 36 pieces made for the 360 Ferrari Challenge series in the early 2000's. This watch is numbered 01/36. The dial composes of a carbon fiber rehaut with a black, red and white combination dial. The watch features a chronograph complication housed in a 44mm titanium case. The watch is in excellent overall condition with some light handling marks and has never been worn. The watch also includes the original black leather and red stitching strap and titanium buckle from KRONOTYPE. There is a light scratch on the numbering on the case-back, however the original signed warranty booklet verifies the limited edition number of the watch.
Kronotype, an independent brand created by Jean-Christophe Sabarthes, Marc Alfieri, Xavier Luvison, and Julien Leroy features some extreme looking chronographs. Born out of technical prowess and creative innovation, KRONOTYPE builds the pieces that combine the highest traditions of watch making with the latest in modernistic forms. Marc ALFIERI, the co-founder of KRONOTYPE, is a renowned MASTER WATCHMAKER that was behind some of the leading watch brands (Repossi, Beuchat and Richard Mille among many others). In addition, he was commissioned since 1995 to make specific watches for certain royalty and important society people around the world. By selecting Grade 5 Titanium (a metal rarely used in traditional watchmaking because it is so difficult to work with during the machining phase) and incabloc of gold, the UNUSUAL TIME KEEPER sets itself apart in the world of luxury watch-making. Each KRONOTYPE watch is entirely handmade and processed by one watchmaker. To own a KRONOTYPE is to be part of the few privileged. The company quote: “If it were for everyone, wouldn’t we have made more?”.
