For sale we have a piece unique 1/1 Paul Gerber reference 420 with an automobile/ car emblem rotating with the seconds' hand. This timepiece was a made-to-order creation for an important collector of the brand in 2015. The reference 420 is known for its limited production and magnificent triple rotor winding system - which is a marvel to look at through the open case-back. The reference 420 was discontinued in 2022 and are extremely rare finds in the independent watch-collecting community. The watch is in excellent overall condition with minimal signs of use and comes as a complete full set from 2015.

Paul Gerber is a highly respected Swiss independent watchmaker known for his technical brilliance, innovation and creativity. He first opened his Zurich atelier in 1976. Paul Gerber is part of the haute horology golden-age movement during the same period as Franck Muller, Gerald Genta and Daniel Roth. Mr. Gerber’s technical achievements run far and wide, most notably in 2005 he was recognised for his collaborative work with Franck Muller on the Superbia Humanitatis - an extraordinary timepiece with a mind-blowing 12 complications compressed in a compact case with a total of 1,116 components. He is often referred to as the Godfather of Grand Complications. Mr. Gerber is now semi-retired in his late 70’s and is a longstanding member of the AHCI (Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants).

Includes: original Paul Gerber titanium buckle and Hirsch black rubber strap.
