For sale we have a very rare and limited edition 10th Anniversary MB&F HMX Red made in grade 5 titanium and stainless steel with the jump hour complication developed in-house by MB&F. This driver's watch is a limited edition out of only 20 pieces made in this color. It includes the original MB&F titanium buckle. This creative automotive-inspired design timepiece celebrates 10 years since the launch of MB&F in 2005. The watch is in very good overall condition with minimal signs of use.
Building off of his childhood aspiration to be a car designer and inspired by the distinctive ‘Superleggera’ style of renowned Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring, Max designed the HMX as a watch that looked like a supercar. HMX is a driver’s watch with bi-directional jumping hours and trailing minutes – but it's how and where the time is displayed that makes HMX so special: rotating discs on top of the movement are reflected vertically and magnified by optical prisms. While designed to look like the top-down view of a car's engine, the HMX's oil caps are not just pretty design elements. Instead, they are fully functional oil caps that can be unscrewed to easily oil the jewelled bearings of the indication discs and ensure their smooth running. Intelligent design meets beautiful aesthetics.
